Winter Services: Snow Removal and De-Icing

Snow Removal:
This service is performed when there is an accumulation of at least 2” of snow. All paved driveway area and one walkway shall be cleared to ensure access to garage, carport, walkway, and/or front entrance. Limited success can be expected with some types of frozen precipitation such as ice, sleet, and/or freezing rain. Snow Removal service may not reduce the surface to bare pavement. This service is repeated for any accumulation of at least 2” of snow in attempt to keep areas clear at all times. (Multiple plows may be required).

De-Icing:
This service is performed when there is an accumulation of less than 2” of snow, before or during ice, sleet and/or freezing rain, and after a snowstorm. In the event of prolonged storms, storm redevelopment and/or thaw/freeze situations, additional de-icer may be required. De-Icer may not reduce the surface to bare pavement. Calcium Chloride is applied to all paved area and main entry walkways in attempt to keep it safe from slick surfaces. Calcium Chloride is used because it is less hazardous to your pavement, sidewalks, automobiles, trees, shrubs, grass, etc. Calcium Chloride is effective to -25 degrees.
